Great laptop. Customized from Apple- Mine has higher specs than you wanted. Paying more didn’t seem too bad-since the computer lasts so long. To each his own.

Couple things. Did you use your PayBoo card and B&H so you could same the sales tax? One observation. Refurbished is a very loosely defined term theses days so I’m a little skeptical if a product is truly refurbished.

I have the same unit, you will love it. It is a work horse, that new Apple tech is amazing stuff. I now looking to update me desktop tech, specifically the Mac Studio and 27" Mac monitor.
I do just the same. Its called buyer due diligence. The only problem sometimes is that it takes time, and time is money. So a balance must be achieved. We think very much alike, are you by any chance my lost twin brother?
My first time in the first big retail computer chain store, I pass a young couple looking at video cards in fancy retail packaging. "Honey, why don’t we get this one? This looks like a nice one."

Have you ever bought a Best Buy Geek Squad Certified Macbook? Would you trust them?
I do the same, just online, since there are no brick and mortar tech stores near me. Every time I find a good deal at B&H online, I am notified that the item is currently unavailable and that I will be notified when it does become available. So far, nothing has panned out from B&H. Maybe it’s just my timing…

I have lived by a very similar purchasing rule set especially for photography the only exception was buying the Sony a7rv 3899.00 new but BH Photo gave me 2400.00 for a used a7r4 and 10% off on the a7r5 lol
