The wyze sensors are no longer available is there an alternative?
I have the Kasa smart dimmer and Kasa smart switches along with a few Kasa smart plugs. The ONLY issue I have had with Kasa is you can only set 3 routines to happen at the same time. But when you connect Kasa to your Alexa it eliminates that problem. We also live out in the country so we have super slow internet and the smart switches cause us ZERO internet issues.
1000/10 recommend Kasa!
Thanks for the video. Great for us with out unlimited bank accounts lol.
Thanks for you video. We focus on wireless Smart Sensor Alarms, hoping to provide safety protection for more people, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, Door Sensor, motion sensor, etc.A small item may be able to help many families stay away from disasters.
Thanks for bleeping out "Alexa"!
When you mentioned virtual switches I knew you work in I.T field! Love the channel!! Thank you for the ideas!
I will definitely be using some of these for to automate my loft and garage and backyard
That’s funny in USA you dont Rembertów to close garage in Poland od you left open garage somebody will steal your car
Is there a light switch that works with traditional switches? My idea is to use a motion sensor to automate my front porch light because it won’t accept any normal style bulb.
Now do this for HomeKit, half the budget would be gone just to get the hub (HomePod mini) 😂
Does all of those work the same with Google assistent??
Would a 2022 update be possible please? Love the content!
Fantastic video. Thank you.
Love the under the cabinet led light strip ideas. Trying to do a similar setup, do you have any recommends other than Wyze? The motion sensor doesn’t seem to work without their home starter bundle (or so says their website) and I only really have a need for the motion sensor.
I love Alexa !
Team AMAZON!!!
I’m looking for a smart lock I’m currently moving , andi the house I live at now has schlage lock. It has a keypad lock with a twist thing lol. Anyways it’s great for the kids because I could keep the door locked at all times and they know the codes and I don’t have to give them keys. I’m looking for a new one for my new house and I don’t know if the wise one would be good because I kind of want one that I don’t have to have their phones or anything like that is there any you recommend that’s budget friendly.
I’ve watched a lot of Smart home videos now but something I haven’t seen that I had he idea for a while ago and is brilliant, connecting an electric blanket to a smart plug! that way you can either tell google/alexa etc. to heat up your bed before you get in, saving you walking upstairs or whatever or if you have a set bedtime you stick to every night you can set it to a routine so your bed is always nice and toasty when you go to get in! I have not seen a single person with this concept!
Do the wyze routines work with homekit too?
Great video thank you. Can these work with Google ecosystem? I just purchased the hub max and wanted to keep the same. Tia!
Great videos. Got a lot of ideas for my new house. I bought the Kasa WiFi light switch & wyze motion sensor . Want to know how i can setup so when i walk in the room turn off and on like you do in the video
Now lets see what you can do using google nest for the same money
When the front door opens, make it say "get tf out of my house unless you brought me cookies"
bro show ur electric bill I need to know
Thanks for the video. How can I do the motion sensor light features with a google home setup? Thanks
Would not recommend the myQ these days. Automating it in anyway requires a paid subscription
i have 197 bucks in my account
this is depressing
I was wondering why you bleeped out Alexa, and then realized that my Alexa doesn’t hear you! How very clever and considerate to do that, bc Alexa picking up on commands from a videos can be annoying!
very $200 affordable smart home system, will copy this, link lead to Amazon canada, great
i have a MyQ garage door opener if you want apple homekit support you have to buy MYQ® HOME BRIDGE. for carplay to open and close myq wont let google open garage even in android auto since i have an android phone and my family use iphone i switched ismartgate it works with homekit and google i can open and close garage on android auto and carplay. plus with iftt i can open and close my garage when i enter or exit my home which is nice
I subscribed to ur channel. Ive watched 3 videos so far and I loved all of them. Keep it up señor. I would love to learn more. 😁
Thank You thank you!!! moving in a new apartment now I’m excited
In my country these products are so expensive 😫
$200 is 3k in my currency
This is exactly what I needed.
Some people say Alex-AY
Are you any near wa state?
Google home mini used 2pcs $35
Wyze lock $80
Wyze cam 2pcs $50
Kasa smart switch 2pcs $25
Smart plugs tasmota 5pcs $50
Generic rgbw and rgb strips tasmota controller $40
Ecobee 3lite free from energy company
Zigbee stick $10
Homeassistant free on a desktop that’s running anyways
what app was used to set routine ? Is it for the wyze app?
or you can buy 2m hue lightstrip 😂
What are the subscription costs?
We need to automate to close windows so with automation both blinds, windows closes together.
Is alexa or google nest better for your smart home? Or which is better for what?
Awesome!
Hi Reed, can you do an updated 2022 version of this video?
Given the amount of money you’ve spent, why not just use something like Lutron RA3?
Thanks for watching! Is there anything you would recommend to someone getting started on a budget?
I’m using almost all Hue lights in my house, but got them at bargain prices, because I bought them "used" from Amazon. My last one cost under $6.95 🙂 However, I agree. Switches and plugs are a more cost efficient way to turn your house smart.
3:40 considering the garage door openers, I live in an apartment community and being that our vehicles can have remote buttons to open n close the doors, and being that I’m often parked outside of the garage, if someone were to break into my truck they could easily get into my garage via the remote button. What kind of ideas you have for that?
And does the garage opener work with homekit?
Is it possible to make a video on how to set these things up? Example would be how to set up in apps, how to connect Wyze sensor to light strips? I’m having a hard time figuring these things out. Thanks in advance.
